After packing all of her things, and saying goodbye to everyone that she could, the only thing Chloe really had left to do was step back through to her world at the end of the causeway.
Casting a glance back towards the center of the island, she was struck with exactly how much she was going to miss this place, and all the people in it. But, like she'd told everyone who'd asked, she had a future waiting in Metropolis, and the first steps on the road to ultimate success as a reporter were straight ahead.
If only those steps didn't have to be through a portal that separated her from everyone else, things would be perfect. But, she told herself as she finally stepped through, it wasn't like she wouldn't be back.
[Like the others, aside from some slowplay, Chloe's gone from Fandom, for now. Woe.]
